Mom’s a Townie. My Grandfather, Dr. Phil Hanley, was the Deputy Minister of Education for NL once-upon-a-time. Mom married a Navy Pilot from the mainland. I was born in Halifax. I’ve moved eighteen times since then. In NL, I’ve lived in St. John’s, Labrador City, Torbay, Kilbride and currently live in the East End. I moved back to Newfoundland to pursue my Master’s Degree and was the proud recipient of the Dean’s MBA Award for Academic Excellence and Leadership. I am married to a wonderful, spirited redhead MSW who keeps me balanced. Collectively we have four children, one boy and three girls: 18, 16, 14 & 14. In our spare time we love hiking the East Coast Trail, Camping, traveling, and spending time with friends in our Chakra Chow dinner club cooking themed dishes from around the world.
